Создателем фильма выступит продюсерский центр LuckyChap, принадлежащий известной голливудской актрисе Марго Робби. Режиссером станет Кейт Херрон, которая прославилась благодаря сериалу «Локи». В написании сценария примет участие Бриони Редман, работавшая над одним из эпизодов «Доктора Кто».
Особенности фильма, основанного на игре, пока что не раскрыты, но известно, что компания Electronic Arts, разработчик The Sims, будет участвовать в его создании.
Продажи The Sims 4 находятся среди лучших в Европе. В список продаваемых игр также вошли Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring и FIFA 22.
